Pilates to Press with Merve Dursun – Workshop
The aim of the programme
The aim of this work is to teach how to produce the press movement not only with arm strength, but with the entire body working as an organised whole
.
The press;
- Scapular rhythm
- Core stability
- Pelvis & spine alignment
we aim to provide participants with a concrete experience of how
power is generated and transferred
within the body.
Pilates is not used as a warm-up in this work but as the path itself leading to the press
.
Can be extended by +15 minutes if necessary

Program Details
Throughout this workshop
, using the Mat Pilates repertoire:
- The role of scapular (shoulder blade) rhythm in the press
- The effect of core stability on power transfer
- Organisation of the pelvis and spine under load
- The safe transmission of power from the centre to the arms
- Conscious management of load distribution during the press
will be addressed step by step.
