ADVANCED ANATOMY / MUSCLES 1 – Lower Limbs & Pelvic Floor
This is the first part of the Advanced Anatomy series.
The Advanced ANATOMY Muscles / Part 1 / Lower Extremity & Pelvic Floor training programme has been designed to cover the lower extremity muscle groups and the pelvic floor muscle groups associated with the movements of the lower extremity.
It includes comprehension exercises covering the location, position, relational explanations, and application details of all the muscles mentioned in the description.
Developed independently of disciplines, this programme is comprehensive in its approach, enhancing the application of biomechanical knowledge across all exercise fields.
Progressing from the principle of muscle work to how function is achieved, the programme explains the primary and secondary functions of muscles and the functional network of relationships established between the muscles in the region, and includes application stages such as movement creation and development.
7-8 September 2024
Online / 25 Kredi
Program Objectives
The main objective of the programme is to understand how lower extremity movements occur at the muscular level and to
correctly establish the movement chain between lower extremity movements and the hips and torso.
- To understand the body and its functioning at the muscular level,
- To learn the primary and secondary functions of lower extremity muscles
- To understand the concepts of functional stabilisation for improving posture or protecting the body
- To grasp the relationship between lower extremity joints and muscles in terms of movement
- Learning the facilitating and hindering dynamics between muscles and joints within the framework of the movement chain concept
- Understanding the relationship between lower extremity muscles, the pelvic floor, and the torso
- Deepening regional movement knowledge before moving on to fascia and total body work
- To learn, in an applied context, the effect of the relationship established with the ground on other parts of the body.

Who Can Attend
- Those with an interest in anatomy,
- Those with a basic understanding of anatomy, the musculoskeletal system, and general biomechanics
- Those who wish to maximise the benefits of their exercises by changing their exercise awareness without altering the type of exercise,
- Those who wish to understand which movements target which areas of the body,
- Those wishing to enhance their knowledge in their specialised field of instruction,
- And anyone who feels ready to undertake all these activities can join this programme.
Certificate
At the end of the programme,
Participants who are 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified instructors will be eligible to receive a 25-hour Yoga Alliance
approved certificate,
while participants who are not 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified instructors will be eligible to receive a participation
certificate from the "Sensing Body Academy Scientific Research & Training Centre / Spain".
Instructor
Founder & Lead Educator – SensingBodyAcademy
Neval Aras is a movement anatomy specialist, educator, and founder of SensingBodyAcademy, an international platform dedicated to the study of body intelligence, emotional anatomy, and conscious movement. Her work focuses on exploring the deep relationship between the physical body, the energetic body, and cognitive awareness. Through her teaching, she bridges traditional yoga knowledge with contemporary anatomical and somatic research, creating a learning environment where movement, perception, and understanding evolve together.
Neval designs and leads anatomy-centered yoga teacher trainings, professional anatomy programs for movement specialists, and psychomotor development education for therapists and practitioners. Her approach combines analytical depth with experiential learning, helping students develop a refined capacity to observe, understand, and work with the body. Originally working extensively in Istanbul, she has contributed to the development of many yoga teachers and movement practitioners. Today, based in Spain, she works internationally, offering programs and trainings that integrate anatomy, movement science, and embodied awareness.
Her teaching philosophy views movement not only as a physical discipline, but as a sophisticated system for cultivating awareness, intelligence, and transformation through the body.
