ANATOMY II / YOGA and PATHOLOGIES

SPECIFIC PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT FOR PATHOLOGIES
It is a module that is part of the Advanced Teacher Training 300 programme and can also be taken separately by yoga practitioners who are interested in the body and anatomy. It contains details of a special approach to yoga and pathologies.
While knowing the details of the body and movement is sufficient for healthy bodies or healthy periods, in special cases such as illness or disability, movement must be adapted and modified according to the conditions we find ourselves in, with the guidance of the instructor's knowledge.
The module identifies pathologies and common physical issues, covering appropriate approach techniques and ethical considerations for these conditions.

Founder & Lead Educator – SensingBodyAcademy
Neval Aras is a movement anatomy specialist, educator, and founder of SensingBodyAcademy, an international platform dedicated to the study of body intelligence, emotional anatomy, and conscious movement. Her work focuses on exploring the deep relationship between the physical body, the energetic body, and cognitive awareness. Through her teaching, she bridges traditional yoga knowledge with contemporary anatomical and somatic research, creating a learning environment where movement, perception, and understanding evolve together.
Neval designs and leads anatomy-centered yoga teacher trainings, professional anatomy programs for movement specialists, and psychomotor development education for therapists and practitioners. Her approach combines analytical depth with experiential learning, helping students develop a refined capacity to observe, understand, and work with the body. Originally working extensively in Istanbul, she has contributed to the development of many yoga teachers and movement practitioners. Today, based in Spain, she works internationally, offering programs and trainings that integrate anatomy, movement science, and embodied awareness.
Her teaching philosophy views movement not only as a physical discipline, but as a sophisticated system for cultivating awareness, intelligence, and transformation through the body.
