PRANAYAMA TECHNIQUES
This module, part of the Advanced Teacher Training 300 programme, has been designed to deepen pranayama techniques and the breathing practice of yoga.
Yoga, within its teachings, possesses a powerful and intricate system encompassing attitude, posture, physical practices, pranayama, and meditation stages.
The body, relaxed through physical practice, develops the ability to regulate the breath and, with the expanding and sensing space this provides, deepens the practice.
There is a mutual communication and interaction between pranayama techniques and asana work. This relationship prepares the mind for meditative stages in movement and in the moment.
Program Objectives
The aim of the programme is to understand pranayama techniques by comparing the anatomy of the breath and the body, to increase the depth of breathing and the depth of asana practice, and to strengthen the understanding between the stages of yoga.
- To teach pranayama and pranayama techniques,
- To understand the relationship between the anatomy of breath and muscular activity and depth,
- Developing the ability to determine the appropriate pranayama technique for specific conditions, circumstances, and physical activities,
- Establishing and deepening the connection between asana and pranayama,
- Conveying the relationship between Pranayama and Meditation,
- Deepening this strong relationship between the stages of yoga through practical application.
